Resepi Ayam Salted Egg
Okay, fam, it's time for some real talk. We all know that engineers love to cook, right? And we also know that we love some good old fashioned comfort food that reminds us of home. So, I wanted to share with y'all one of my all-time favorite recipes: Ayam Telor Masin, or as we say in English, Salted Egg Chicken.
What You'll Need:
Before we get started, let's go over what you'll need to make this delicious dish:
- 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 4 salted eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red chillies, sliced
- Chopped coriander for garnish
Instructions:
Now that you have all your ingredients, let's get cooking!
- Mix the chicken thighs with the cornflour, salt, sugar, and sesame oil. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Mash the yolks with a fork and set aside.
- Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until cooked through and golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the garlic and chillies until fragrant.
- Add in the mashed egg yolks and stir well. Cook until the mixture thickens.
- Add the chicken back into the pan and coat with the egg mixture.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with rice.
Oh my goodness, y'all, this recipe is seriously so delicious. The salted egg and chicken combo is just out of this world. And it's super easy to make too!
