Hey guys, guess what I found? A recipe for nasi ayam to die for! And it’s courtesy of Sheila Rusly, the queen of the kitchen. Seriously, this lady knows how to whip up some serious deliciousness.

You’re Going to Love This:

Just look at this picture of nasi ayam. Tell me it doesn’t make your mouth water like crazy.

Ingredients:

• 1 whole chicken, cleaned and cut into small pieces
• 500g of chicken rice
• 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
• 2 shallots, finely chopped
• 2-inch ginger, finely chopped
• 1 lemon grass, finely chopped
• 2 pandan leaves, tied in a knot
• 1 cube of chicken stock
• 5 cups of water
• 2 tbsp of cooking oil
• Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Wash the rice and set aside.
2. Heat up the cooking oil in a pot and sauté the garlic, shallot, ginger and lemon grass until fragrant.
3. Add in the chicken and stir until it changes color.
4. Add in the knotted pandan leaves and chicken stock cube.
5. Pour in the water and let it simmer until the chicken is cooked thoroughly.
6. Remove the chicken and set aside.
7. Add in the rice into the pot of chicken broth and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked.
8. Fluff the rice and serve it on a plate with the chicken pieces on top.
9. Enjoy!
