I found this amazing recipe for Yong Tau Fu that I just have to share with y'all. It's a constant battle to find good, authentic Yong Tau Fu around here, but this recipe has got me covered. Check out the image below of how delicious it looks:

To make the stuffing, first prepare the vegetables by finely chopping the onions and grating the carrot. Next, mix the vegetables with the ground pork, firm tofu, minced garlic, soy sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, corn flour and water until everything is well combined. If the mixture is too wet, add more corn flour as needed.

Once the stuffing is ready, use a small spoon to stuff the mixture into the various vegetables. Common vegetables used for Yong Tau Fu include bittergourd, eggplant, okra and chili peppers. Steam the stuffed vegetables for about 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the stuffing is fully cooked.

While the stuffed vegetables are steaming, prepare the broth. Combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil and sugar in a pot and bring to a simmer. Once the broth is simmering, add the steamed Yong Tau Fu into the broth and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
