"nano ~/.bash_profile"
Then, add this line of code to the file:
"alias sudo='sudo ' "
After that, save the file and exit. Finally, enter the command:
"source ~/.bash_profile"
Now try running your "sudo apt-get" command again. It should work now without any issues. This fix worked for me, but everyone's computer is different, so your mileage may vary.
